Tai chi Workshop with Allen Pittman November 7,8 (Saturday, Sunday)
10am-3pm (with an hour and a half for lunch)
at Urban Yoga on Ponce de Leon Place, Atlanta, GA
Saturday is form only, the "How and Why" of Tai ch how it works as stress reduction, as a kind of "Standing Yoga", as cross training for sports and a longevity exercise which has been proven effective by Science. How Tai Chi effects coordination,breath and posture and increases sports skills will also be discussed and done.
Sunday takes the form and develops it with partner exercises which are both fun and informative. These exercises make your reflexes better and teach you how to respond with the minimum of wasted energy. These partner exercises also develop some of the self defense aspects of Tai Chi which have saved lives on occasions!
The class will look at the eight basic postures of Tai chi which are common to all kinds of Tai chi so both veterans and beginners will enjoy it.
The workshop is 64.00/day or 96.00 for both days...
